Slade and Tom, best friends since college, stand by each other in their passion for life and pursuit of the Gay American Dream…whatever the hell that is.  Slade and Tom lived in the Gay Gotham of New York City for the majority of their post collegiate life…that’s a story in itself.

Slade and Tom both are driven to be part of the Gay movement forward and always had a love for the creative arts; film/digital video, theatre, acting, writing, producing, advertising.  One year they set out to film a documentary/mocumentary on gay life outside of Gay Gotham, entitled FAGS ON WHEELS. They decided to film in Louisville, Kentucky, and after 10 days of shooting, it became clear that Slade and Tom had found a new home to explore.  Louisville appeared to be so progressive. There seemed to be an alive and vibrant LGBT community living right on the Bible Belt in good ole Kentucky.  In a matter of months, Slade and Tom decided to explore the city further and moved to Louisville. They began BurrGeon Productions and a career creating television commercials on behalf of the small, local businessman.  When all of their efforts turned out not one damn bit of business, they turned to publishing.

After a good year of exploring all that Louisville had to offer, Slade and Tom sensed a complacency and lack of interest in the LGBT community by the LGBT community. Some appeared uninspired and uninformed.  There was a lack of communication and sharing of information.  The majority of our new friends were clueless that a Gay Pride Parade even took place in Louisville.  Slade and Tom decided to do something about it. They wanted to give Gay Louisville an opportunity to unite with their brothers and sisters by way of a pocket-sized gay and lesbian cultural glossy magazine called G3 Illustrated.  Slade’s and Tom’s mission, thru G3, is to encourage unity and participation in the LGBT culture, to build a growing LGBT presence, and to offer an inspirational platform for members of the community to let their voices be heard.

G3 Illustrated turned ONE Year Old in November 2006!   It was one very long year, as it took a while for many to embrace G3’s presence in their community.  However, the LGBT presence is slowly growing, the people are getting involved, people are being informed, and some are even getting educated. Slade and Tom have even received e-mails from those in the heterosexual community, some of whom are parents of gay children, stating that the magazine gave them a new perspective on what GAY really was. It was a perspective of hope, faith, integrity, values, responsibility, commitment and RESPECT.

The G3 presence slowly continues to grow in Louisville, and Slade and Tom have decided to bring G3 Illustrated to other small Mid-western towns that have a potential for Gay Growth.

Stay tuned for FAGS ON WHEELS! After 3 years of shopping it around to networks as a potential reality show, we got so many doors slammed in our faces. Now with the gay explosion continuing to take its seat in the world of television, you will soon see how specific networks allegedly stole our ideas to develop their own reality show featuring gay men traveling across the country seeking out gay life - Like ANTS at a picnic!  In the mean time, Slade and Tom have decided to offer Fags On Wheels in form of a feature length documentary/mocumentary which will soon be available for viewing by Gay Louisville and all else who dare to partake.

Oh – and they are developing a film script called Between Stupidity and Imagination.  They hope to film in Louisville.  They need money.  Lot’s of it.  Anyone?  Anyone?  Any fledgling producers or executive directors out there??  Give them a shout at info@G3Illustrated.com.
